Dunno mate. The airbox doesn't look like a particularly good design. When you look at the dirt pattern on a filter it just seems to be using the ends.

remember the airbox is under a lot of pressure, so chances are the dust/dirt gathers at the edges more readily but the air will still be flowing thru the rest of the filter

No it isn't , Ram air pressures aren't very high at all.

ok, sorry i didnt actually mean to say a lot of pressure, just pressure, anywho the effect should be the same, you will get a cyclone effect pushing the dirt to the outside of the airbox. This is of course my uneducated oppinion and could be totally wrong but it makes sense inside my head

The dirt will be more to the edges of the filter because this is where it comes in through the chassis, ie first point of contact between filter and dirt.

The 08 air filters will no doubt get dirty in the middle because the ram air routes through the centre of the chassis directly behind the headstock.

i fitted these modded stacks to my 636 b1h made it ok for track use moved all the power to the top of the rev range but lost loads of the low down power, they soon came back out.
