The Dark Knight- Go and see it!

Consider yourself  told.

Im not a comic book geek and dont really understand sci-fi conventions but decided  to go and watch the latest Batman film last week.

Absolutely brilliant film, if you enjoyed Batman Begins then you will certainly love The Dark Knight.

Before i went to see it i thought the press were putting too much sympathy on the late Heath Ledger. But as performances go he was one of the best actors i have ever seen. His portyal of the joker was nothing short of excellance!

Definately my top movie of the year (even though it is nearly 3 hours long). Maybe even my favourite of all time as it is very different to all other films that have been released.

Definately a must see!!

Gotta agree with the Heath Ledger comments and deffo a great film. Well worth a trip to the cinema.

Saw this yesterday.

Its good but i didnt think it was a great film. It never really had me on the edge of my seat or kept me wanting more. At 2 hours it could of been over but they dragged it out for an hour more.

Also what did most people see in Heath ledgers performance that deserved an oscar that i missed?

Definately not a 12A rated film though [naughty]

an OK film , heath ledger is a cunt....... Jack Nicholson was a far better joker  :headbang:

Batman begins was far better

now if we are talking actors Liam Neeson http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000553/ was far better than Heath Knobhead  :icon_thumleft:

I've seen the film and loved it...thought Heath ledgers performance was effortlessly brilliant!  hence why I think its been tipped for an oscar.

I am always happy to hear other opinions, but sometimes do get annoyed at narrow mindedness.  Why is/was Heath Ledger a cunt?  Did he wrong you?  What do you expect, that he comes into your houses and gives you unique performances of Shakerspeare Sonnets??  ffs lads...have a bit of depth!  :emb:

Heath Ledger (despite doing the odd dodgy film) was a great actor for his years.  No Doubt.  His performance in Ned Kelly was incredible and also in the infamous Brokeback Mountain.  To be a straight guy and generate on screen chemistry such as that between him and Jake Gyllenhaal is no mean feat.

I love films, always have and take every film on its own merits.  So TDK for me, ticks all the boxes and actually sticks to what was/and always has been a dark and more adult comic book hero....its about time that more films where made like this.  Where the makers didn't feel they had to rush the ending, and disappoint its viewers.  It made sure all the ends where tied up and all plot lines where followed.  Without restricting the actors range.  Heath (and to be honest Bale also) make this film so engrossingly brilliant.

Each to their own lads...but at least make your point!

Think my bird said he was fit once or something must of had shit in her eyes at the time, thats just for starters plus i think his eyes were too close together!
