Hi guys,

I've been riding nearly 8 years now, and instructing for 2, started on a 100cc twist and worked up to my FZR thou.  Been looking at getting a newer bike and seen a really nice 05 ten, going to have a look and maybe a test ride next week and would apreciate any hints/tips on what to be looking for mechanical wise and handling as I'm used to old heavy bikes.

The genesis its on a D plate, I'm up/down in Sheffield (depending where you are lol) my 2 FZR's have been great fun but I need a bike that will get me to work and back and (sorry for being a bit girly) but the ten I have seen looks nice and seems like a bit of a challenge after the old bikes.

I'm guessing at the username and name Chrissy that we have another girly in our midst  :hello2:

Make sure the brakes have been modded on the '05, I believe the brembo master cylinder is the way forward  :icon_thumleft:

I was shocked at my mates '04 brakes....The ZX636C6F brakes were shedloads better  :shock:

welcome to the forum buddy , the ten is pretty OK out of the box .. its not until you are used to it you need to think about things like dampers,suspension setup and master cylinders  :icon_thumright:
