My 08 with a few mods
« on: September 09, 2008, 10:57:53 PM »

So far:

Akrapovic slip on
PCIII
Pipercross race filter
WP shock (for a ZX12R, formerly on my 7R, fits fine and works fine for this prop-forward sized rider...)
WP damper (from an old Fireblade, eBay can be good sometimes)
HEL braided lines
R&G protectors
Tinted screen from Skidmarx
Stomp grips and Motografix tank protector

Next stop front end revalve, carbon engine case covers and hugger...

nice bike mate just a shame about the bath mats stuck to the tank, each to their own but I just dont get it. Why oh why? Have you ever actually though I wish I had more traction on my tank?

Would look nice with a carbon vented hugger  :glasses9:

Ok, in order...

The reason the shock looks a bit strange is, I think, the "overengineered" bracket for the remote preload adjuster, and the reservoir which is at right angles to the stock unit. The hose is too short to reach the rear pegs so a mate knocked this up for me. On the 7 the adjuster sat on the other side of the reservoir but there isn't room on the 10. I think I'll get a softer spring fitted over the winter, I can just about get the static and rider sag set OK but the preload is wound almost completely off. Damping is miles better than standard as you'd expect from WP. :)

Chicken strips - OK what excuse do you want , bad back or wet roads?  :emb: At least I'm not a fair weather biker  :)

As for the stomp grips, no I didn't think I needed more grip but now I'm a convert. It's like mobile phones. 10 years ago they were rare, but once you get one you can't live without it. I do think they look OK as well but then I like it a bit rough and ready  :!:.

It's definitely getting some more carbon... :icon_thumright:
