Going solo
« on: July 25, 2008, 10:39:23 AM »

So... after a few years riding pillion I have finally started on the solo biker status, took the theory yesterday and passed.. CBT next weekend

Beware all North Lincs way on muhaha the roads will not be safe hehe. Seriously though, found a top guy to learn with so we shall see how I get on.

Oh, and have a ZX600 (1999) green of course, sat waiting for me when I get that test done, my eye is on the prize.

Gonna tart it up whilst learning. Any advice/encouragement greatly received  :icon_thumleft:

Ooh are you? We go to Willingham quite regular and the wed. bike nights. Think the hubby is going to Matlock this week, we'll have to give you a should whn we go out.

So, had you any experience on a bike before you had 1st lesson?

Good for you, the CBT will be a breeze. By the end of that 6 hours or whatever it is you'll be well on your way. Keep us posted on progress  :headbang: And good luck for the big bike test.  :icon_thumleft:

Well if you're ever near George Petchs in Grimsby I'll be found in the Suzuki side from the 4th Aug ;)

me and other half sharing a bike at the mo, I'm the one with the hot pink knee sliders lol I have a hangover planned for
this sunday tho!

I rode a 49cc ped when I was 16.... so no no experiance before hand really
I did my CBT on a CB125 and then bought a CBR125, 6 weeks later I'd done my theory and booked a test
did it on my 125 and passed (I was amazed as I'd had no training bar my cbt!) so was restricted to 33bhp
re took test after a refresher training last year and dropped the restriction early.

Just relax, the yard work is a pig at 1st but chill it will come!!

I thought I was a rookie compared to everyone else on here. Passed my test 2 years ago by doing a 2 day intensive course. Passed my theory test, just... did my CBT 2 weeks later... then took my test the following week. There's no better feeling in the world than when they say "I'm pleased to tell you that you've passed". Hope it all goes well. Just remember to take a breath and enjoy the experience. You only get that first ride on a big bike once in your life.  :icon_thumright:
