my concern would be who else can track your speed on it...........
I looked more into this last night and as well as updating everythign online on a web page(in real time) you can also do it all offline to a kmt file and open that with google maps, so in answer to your question, do it the second way then its just for you.
Altho i am sure glen could add the functionality to this website so comparisons could be made etc(they give you the php install file

Also like tomtom it has a find a friend feature so if someone you know is out for a hoon near you it will tell you(if they of course have theirs turned on) which could allow members to find each other instead of just missing each otehr at track days and general rides like seams to happen a lot.
I ment to use it today on the way to work but forgot but will try and use it ont he way home and post the results as to how good or bad it is.
