Hello ZX10 Riders!!!
« on: July 18, 2008, 10:27:43 AM »

Hello All

As requested... here is a little intro... even though you all probably know that I have a question or two up my sleeve LOL!!!

Anyway... One careful rider, returning to 2 wheels after a 17yr break, has lovely strech of road near the Cotswold Water Park, rides a ZX10R '06 - often takes to the track, but tends to be at the back of the group!!! If you pass me on the roads around Burford, Bibury, Highworth, Stroud, Ciren and Alyesbury... please say hello!

Thanks Mike

PS please do not be put off by the log in name... it is a long story which I won't bore you with!!!

Thanks for the replies lads... very quick response...

Okay, so I had a Subaru or two in my time... but have seen the error of my ways and have returned to the only thing that makes you feel alive... the rush of the two wheel action!

And even though, I have just had a very nice message telling me to take it easy on the 10... maybe I should mention, that I have just returned from Germany and the Ring!!! very exciting... even managed to get up to 170mph on the straight before the start finish gate.

Wow, if you get the chance YOU MUST GO... even the roads around the place are great... well worth a visit!!! just go easy on the ring!!! would post some pictures, but haven't worked out that bit yet!

Cheers Mike

Hello Mike and welcome to the 10r forum  :hello2:

You're not a million miles from us in Northampton, one day we'll have to organise a decent gathering and get out someplace  ;-)

The post wasnt supposed to be an insult mate i just always say to people who have had a long absence or even having just upgraded from a 600 to take it easy to begin with as the 10 is a handfull to say the least :).

Indeed the ring is a great place, been many times and seen a lot of bad crashes too. I do especially like the roads around the nurburgring  too, there is a lovely steep hill with a hairpin in it, whether you approach going down or up the hill its an interesting turn I am sure you know which one i mean it sticks in everyones mind:)

p.s to atach a photo first make sure the res isnt to big 640x480 or 800x600 should be enuff otherwise you cant see it all on your screen in a post.

second when you are making a post underneath you can choose additional options then click on the browse button then bobs ur uncle and fannys ur aunt.

WOW how quick are you lot!!! yeah don't worry truescot, I know... definately a handful mate, but suits my riding style perfectly!!! and I know the road you are on about... the road to Cochem!!! what a site!
And as for the rideouts to Northampton... well just give me a nod bikerchick!
So apart from sussing out the photo part... when can I start boring you with my lack of knowledge and mountains of questions... and has anybody heard of any big ZX10 gatherings? or if they do them???

Are you all sitting comfortably?...

Well after boiling my brake fluid at Donington and Nurburgring, it seems I need to look at a NEW master cylinder?

I have already upgraded to Goodridge Hoses and Sythetic Fluid... anybody know what I need?

I have just seen this on fleabay, anybody's thoughts?

Cheers Mike

Don't mind Brembo, Nissin... who ever, just need to sort out that terrible inch of travel before the brakes start working... so anybody know what I should be looking for? I have been to the brembo site and got completely lost... is that Nissin one on ebay no good? I think anything would be better than what I have got :-)
