What exhaust?
« on: July 15, 2008, 12:50:28 PM »

As you may know I am now the proud owner of a 636 .... but the exhaust is too quiet and the baffles are seized in :-(
So I think I may just have to get a new one.

Any suggestion's of what to get please guy's?
I want something that sounds nice, that crackles and pop's etc but nothing too loud .... or too expensive.

Or if anyones got one they want to sell / swap / part swap for a quiet one let me know :-)

Ebay would be a start for a cheap option. I have yogi's old arrow on my 10 and that pops and crackles lovely on down changes. I also have an akrapovic that i have not tried yet.

My list would be

Akrapovic/Arrow/Arata
Yoshimura
Micron

I fitted a loud pipe to my 636 and found it very annoying, it booms inside the fairing and sounds like you're flying in an old bomber, very tiring on a long journey.  Curiously, the wheelbarrow pipes on the 10 don't suffer the same, perhaps because they stick out either side.

Personally....I've always loved Scorpion exhausts.  Cheap and sounds brill.  Plus...have the best rep for being able to bolt on and not upset your fuelling.  Blue Flame are another good company but delivery times can be pants.

I thought after I'd posted that link ...typical Bird, pick's one that isn't on the list of what people suggested!  [wall]

All the akrapovic ones are stupid money that I have seen so far but cheers I'll keep looking, I have seen a few Scorpian ones now at decent prices.
