Must have been a right wanker for fineing you for the visor.

Was it a traffic cop?

Normally they turn a blind eye to that.

I got pulled a few months ago for the Growler, small plate then he spotted that my tax disc was not on display.

Had my black visor on and he didnt mention it. Just got a rectification for the plate and can

I have been lucky, i work within the national police improvement agency (don't ask what they are trying to improve as i have no idea) and the site is full of plods all year round. Used dark visors, cans and small plates for years and they have never said anything. I fact my old V twin used to make the drool at the sound going down the 1/4 mile drive!

Your Mr plod bored wondering why he is still in the force must have run out of cakes to stuff his face with!  [naughty]

The Copper was probably told to pull Bikers...for anything,if you have nowt on them fabricate it,make yourself a nuisance as to make the Bikers life difficult, persecute the fookers!!
But as was said...People then start to dispise the Police for their tactics...the way they look at us, Joe Public...they talk down to us....and i fooking hate it when some pup of a copper talks down to me....fooking gets my backup, trying to get a reaction out of you so they can get you for summat else!!
Nowadays i say fook all when im pulled, speak when they ask me a question and dont say owt otherwise.
Errrrrrr yeah........

US helmet company, shark I think they are called but dont swear me to it make them and you can buy them as inserts for your normal visor...

in many cases the police react to the individuals responses and his attitude but also they are only human.  The problem with all laws are that once you allow the police to be judge jury and executioner they will always apply those terms as and when they see fit, not relative to the crime but to their own mood, perception, state of mind etc etc...

I used to have a reactolite visor on my nzi helmet, not sure if its available for other helmets, only problem is that when i was in the uk with it  was fined for having a tinted visor with it, when i tried to explain that it was reactolite they said it didnt matter as it was dark at the time they stopped me, i think htey where just picking on me cause was on a foreign bike.
