He said he didn't like them Yogi, magic mentioned about acceleration.

Have to agree with Fido. I don't like the lack of revs and the engine braking on a sporty twin. They just feel agricultural

 Lack of engine braking  Fook me Andy have you ridden a big twin?

Why,s that dude? is it the lack of acceleration? :icon_scratch:

Have never liked V twins as supersportsbikes

:iamwithstupid: i just dont like the power delivery, but the feeling is nice, but still prefer the 3 cylynder motors also yogi the tlr Is a nice bike pretty quick etc but a friend of mine had one when the rest of us had r1's 10r's blades etc and it just couldnt compete(we where all pretty much the same standard riders)
[/quote]

Hello Scottie....never said a TLR could compete against a 10R or equivalent in outright performance, thats what prompted me to trade up in the first place!Even with equal riders but as we all know put a good rider on an underdog and an average on an R1,etc then its down to the rider!
All i was saying is the TLR is a good sports bike and weel capable of keeping up with bigger bikes and more than fast enough for the road!!

Thats why I dont like them too.

Had a TL 1000S for a few days whilst my old gixxer was in for some work.  First impressions were I quite liked it. But after a couple of days wanted the gixxer back.

Didnt like the feel of it, vibey and as rininja says agricultural

I am well aware there are guys oout there on tlr's way faster on the road or round the track than me, i was merely pointing out that an individual will lose their licence a little bit quiker on the 4's but the guy on the tlr will loose his licence half a second l8r

As you quite rightly point out for the non gp riders of us we are the limiting factor in speed not the bike :)

Of course. A gixer 750 can easily leave a litre four trailing in its wake

Sorry to keep flying the Ducati flag on a 10r forum, but am happy to report that the old tractor Desmo engines are prehistoric compared to the testastretta engines now. :headbang: ( think ZX10r Bob may back me up) as his quarter mile fly bye,s are a thing of the past. [rofl] [rofl] It,s true the saying about V Twins..... you luv `em or hate em..Soooo glad they,ve finally made one that,s fast in a straight line too. :hello2:
