Superstars
« on: July 10, 2008, 07:32:43 PM »

Starts again on 5 tomorrow at 8pm

Great childhood memories...
Who can forget Kevin Keegan on the bike, John Conteh in the kayak and Brain Jack's bubble perm!

I remember Rocket Ron appearing on there too

Pretty sure it wasn't Jacks though. He was Mr Integrity and almost superhuman so didn't need to cheat

They tried to bring it back a few years ago James Toseland did pretty well.

But they struggle to get top sports stars these days due to the risk of injury and compensation.

Will never be as good as the original programmes

Years ago it was on the Beeb and pro sportsman weren't paid enough that they could afford to turn down a nice little earner

Got to be one of the best ever telly classics, Brian Jacks, Kevin Keegan & Daley Thompson!

How about a Superstars Masters, get them all back now!
Bet they could still out-squat some our current so called 'sporting heroes'

Great ring tone for yer phone by the way  :icon_thumright:
