Racefit problem
« on: July 07, 2008, 01:57:18 PM »

I am on my 2nd Racefit mega on my 750 Gix and for the second time it is starting to crack just in front of the mounting point!? I've emailed Racefit to see what they can do. When the 1st one cracked their customer service was excellent and they replaced it FOC.

Has anyone else had any problems with their Racefit pipes?

Ti is very strong, light but Very brittle and can crack/split under pressure.. is it mounted correctly and not under any strain to get the bolts in?
just a thought...

I fitted it myself and didn't have to pull/push/bend anything to make it fit. It seemed fine at the time.

My mega has broken on 1 of the brackets too, I have sent it back to them and they said that the bracket can be replaced and service the pipe at the same time.
With just a couple of days turnaround it should be back this week.
Can't wait........although it aint exactly riding weather out there.......
