Couple more modifications today.

Changed the sidelights into indicators. I replaced the bulbs for amber ones and made a little extension loom for each side which included a resistor to get the correct flash rate.

Also then replaced the mirrors for those off an 05 ZX10R.

I am planning to put flush mount indicators from an 05 bike into the fairings at some point so this is just a temporary solution.

As far as actually being able to see anything in them, the 08 mirrors are much better than the earlier models. I just didnt fancy them without the indicators fitted, they look too wide and gangly.

That looks much better, for me it was the mirrors/indicators that ruined the 08 so cool mods

i think that looks good and great idea. i hated my indis so i got the LED ones which are much better but a td expensive.. worth it though//

Where the sidelights are normally. (done away with the sidelights for now)

The top picture shows the (bikes) right indy flashing.

I'd be tempted to try them too now that I know they're a straight bolt on.

It's not that I think they're a thing of great beauty, but I really like the hinge bit in the middle, it'd be a real boon when filtering around London.

must admit the hinge bit is fantastic! can get bike in and out of garage now without being so careful of scuffing the mirrors....
you can also fold them in at meets to stop hamfisted bikers knocking them when they squeeze past....

Don't see the point of sidelights these days with all new bikes having to have dip beam showing. Good Mod
