I am sure we have all thoughth at one point or another that if we where rich we would build our own racetrack for ourselves and our friends but what does this actually entail and what sort of layout would you want.
I guess the obvious answer for the layout is that you would try to copy the best corners from the best tracks and one long streight for high speed runs and a space in the middle for a smaller dirt bike track.
As for the cost of building such a thing i am clueless, i saw on a top gear episode it costs almost a million per mile of road laid which seams a little over the top, my grandfather and his brother laid their own tarmac on the road on his farm and that was a couple of miles for a very small amout for the day and driveways are constructed at a much cheaper rate per mile than that all over the country regularly.
Also i assume you could forget about insurance since everyone on the track does so at their own risk or is this wrong nowadays.
So people what i want to know is what you feel about track specs, what are your favourate corners, how long should the run outs be width etc and in the end would like to know how many of britains bikers would have to club together to be able to afford a place of their own to get away from draconian road policies.
