Looks like MCN rider has totaled this R6. :shock: Wonder who picks up the bill for these.

I think its quite common for R6s to go on fire when highsided, check out this video clip !

The shoulders of the tank are very proud of the frame, meaning the tanks tend to get holed quite easily.  There are c/f potectors that can stop this happening (we use on the race bikes) ...

maybe my mistake but are you not supposed to aim a co2 fire extinguisher above that which is burning? bringing a blanket of co2 down on the flames killing its oxygen supply and putting out the fire.  The guys trying to put the flames out where pointing the extinguisher directly at the flames spreading the fuel some what and making the fire much much worse.  I am sure there are some people from the fire brigade or something on this site that could tell us the proper course of action to take ???.

ps. the only actual memory i have of fire extinguisher training was working in macdonalds a long long time ago

not the first r6 to go up in flames and wont be the last,1 reason why i swapped mine in for the zx10

Must be nice to be able to through a bike down the track, and it ain't gonna cost you anything.   However he'll probably get a ER-6f next as his staff bike!
