Yes it can probably be repaired but generally i would imagine most people, including me, would want a new tyre for peace of mind if nothing else.  :icon_thumleft:

Plugged tyre will be fine for commuting or pootling about on, but the speed rating is fooked, so nothing over 90  is it worth it?........

Depends if its one of the repair plugs you carry under the seat or a proper vulcanised repair plug. :dontknow:
The repair plugs you put in from the outside are only good to get you home and slow soeed.
If it a proper plug then its a strong as the tyre and keeps the rating.  :icon_thumright:
Most tyre places will sell you the tyre though as is money in the bank.
They make a darn sight more out of a new tyre.

magic1, I think I will need a new one then to be sure. I think 90mph is too low. I often do 160+ on straights and sometimes take fast very long sweeping corners at 130+. Pretty normal for large capacity sports bikes!

zx10r bob, I thought about this and I am tempted! The front is almost new though, so after this front is gone, I think I will try a set.
