I got a big fuck off nail in mine a few weeks back...tyre was less than 1000 miles old...well fucked right off....however Daves gear link was a more pressing issue than the big nail in my tyre...I took it out and it lasted about a week before it went down to the point I noticed it!

However...I intend to get the tyre plugged but buy a new anyway...then i've got a spare tyre in case of emergencies!  Maybe I have more money than sense (no comments Mr J)!

My final decision is bite the bullet and buy a new rear. When that's gone, I will def try a pair of scrubbed racetecs or similar...

Plugged tyres are perfecly safe provided they are done properly..

Years back had a part worn plugged tyre put on my FZR to go to Assen GP then when I got back I did a track day at Mallory.....no issues at all
