08 zx10r from road to track

First of all i would like to thank Tom, Phil and the lads at Irelands motorcycles www.irelandsmotorcycles.com.
They have helped me a great deal so far and hopefully will carry on (unleast till it's finished  :lol: ) If you want an 08 Kawasaki get in touch they can do some fantastic deals on new bikes.


I was going to wait untill it was finished but as it's a lovely day and my little girl is a bit under the weather I decided to get in the workshop and strip her down. Just could not resist a couple snaps before it gets totally stripped  :icon_thumleft:

Plz bare on mind this is going to be a 100% track/race bike and function is always going to come before form although i am trying my best to get her looking sweet on a small budget.









If things go to plan it should be finished in the next 7-10 days  :lol:

Looking sweet there gopher,let me know if you fairings come mate and what you think of them.The wheels you have on your bike are they a set of dymags,i'm hoping to have mine done in the next few weeks  so cant wait for that,good thing is at the moment you dont see many of these 10rs at trackdays in racetrim :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumright:

Yeh they are the 16.5's off my 07 mate. I have not sterted it yet let alone rode it so i don't know how it feels with them on.

As Glenn says it is the 46 prxls off the 07 almost every thing fits the 08 all i have left are the Akropovic end cans and the full Micron sytem with the pc111.

Just so you know the Ohlinss TTX is the defacto shock for the 08 now as the 46 prxls is no longer made. I did alot of digging but it seems the 46 is identical in fit to the TTX just not as up to date.  :icon_thumleft:

 [rofl]  Sent the first one back as it won't fit the 45 rear sprocket. There are a few bits missing mate it's not even PDI'd yet  :lol:

shes going to be a stunner mate,,,love the colour and without them mirrors it looks sweet.
