Incoming fire always has the right of way

Never draw fire, it irritates everyone around you

Never share a fighting position with anyone braver than yourself

Try to look unimportant to the enemy, they may be low on ammo

If your advance is going really well, you are walking into an ambush

Five-second fuses always burn in three seconds

Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap. Life is expensive.

Have a plan

Have a back-up plan, because the first one won't work

Be polite. Be professional. But have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

Talkin'o combat - anyone see the footage the other night on ITV 4 where guys pinned downed by a bunch o ragheads where being removed one by one by a sniper..... 50 caliber rounds at upto 1000metres
