any royal marines on here?
« on: June 13, 2008, 04:45:32 PM »

ive applied to go in the marines, hopefully september latest- get to do the training right through winter- nice   [wall] anyone currently a marine or not long done their training?
was after peoples experiences of the training and what to expect when in there. obviously i know its going to be fooking hard, that i am certain of. i know that the marines are the elite, so would rather try get into them than the regular army. any response appreciated. :headbang:

yeah Marines Hard as fooking Cabbages  [whistle]

hmmmmm P coy or Marine training...... always  dilemma .....

but I can say this ..... there was alway some that failed P coy and got into the Marines... and there was always guys who failed the Marines but got into the Para's

all I can say to you is good luck fella......

don't give up.... push yourself harder in training and Corp life will be easy...... the regular army is not for people who actually want to be someone they are if you ask me second rate...... Marines are a good choice as would be Para's if you decided that.....

good luck fella and keep us posted....  :icon_thumleft:

That may be so for the infantry but not if you want to learn a trade

Saying that there's a lot of the Reme guys wandering around in Maroon or Green berets. A lot of them choose to do the P company or the marines course after they get their tech trade

Do you know the best bit off advice I can give you, However hard/tired or just pissed off you are, just say to yourself "However much they f**k me they can not make me pregnant!" and remember at the end off course you will look back and just laugh about it all.......................

Dig in! give 110% and ENJOY! it is worth it!!!!

Never said it was. But i wouldn't join the pbi, even the flying part of it.  Get in there and get a trade out of it.

thanks for the responses guys. i guess that the general consensus is just push youself to the limits and beyond and dont give up.

ive applied for officer entry into the army and marines. awaiting interviews for both. if i was to go into the army i would like to go into the paras as there the best in there- i dont see the ponint in doing something if youre not aspiring to be the best. obv special services will be another level still  [pray], but i wana get in before thinking that far ahead.

i think the trade i would like to gain from this is people skills, management and leadership- if successful would be able to piss it back in civvy street.
thanks again :occasion14:
