What make of rearsets?
« on: June 08, 2008, 08:46:12 PM »

I'm going to attempt my first poll! Following on from my other thread I can't decide between what make of rearsets to get. I've narrowed it down to: Diamond, Sato or Gilles. (I think!)

Diamond - Have been recommended by a few on here.

Gilles - I like the way they look, many don't though. I've been told they flex a bit too much but are generally OK.

Sato - Heard they're good, but not had much other feedback. Like the look of them too.

So, which ones do you lot have & what are they like?

I voted for diamond as i ride on track only and found these very good.  For road use i think gikkes look a bit better  :icon_thumright:

I'd love Arata ones but they don't make them for an 03 ZX6r, bloody typical!!! I can't find any info about the Promach ones that aren't on a GSXR so I'll add that option when they reply to my email (Unless anyone has got any pics on a Kwak with an idea of prices?)

Cheers for the help. I forgot to mention they are for a road bike that is ridden 365 days of the year. I've since been told that Gilles may not hold up too well in the winter.  :-S Anyone got contact details for Diamond ones?

why wouldn't they ??? they will hold up as good as all the other ones.... as they are all machined allow and they are all coated in very similar ways .... bottom line is 1. the looks and 2. your perception of quality   :icon_thumleft:

A guy on another forum said his corroded v badly so much to the point he took them off. He said only useful parts left were footpegs & gear rod. As you say though, he may have left his bike covered in salt with no protection! Mine shall be properly protected with ACF50 though (worked wonders last year :) )

Has anyone got the contact details for the the Diamond rearsets? I quite like the look of them & people's opinions seem to be good aobut them too. Can't find them anywhere though
