My 10,000th post
« on: June 07, 2008, 08:28:43 PM »

well,

bloody hell , no wonder all the writing has worn from my keyboard, and you're all to blame  [whistle]

It was a thoughtful one when I saw my post count at 9,999   do I post a naked woman or a special 10R or a pic  of something else.

Well it was an easy choice really and I've had a couple of these bikes over the years.

It's a no brainer for me as it's the bike that changed biking and created the hooligan, brought out the Simpson lids and it's where modding bikes really got moving along...............

I dreampt of these when they were launched  :headbang:

yes the 350 was the dream bike but this is the best pic I could find  :icon_thumright:

altough now officially middle aged i,m relatively new to biking. I believe it,s called " mid life crises" [rofl] Been riding about 8 years now, and i feel that in this period development has come on leaps an bounds. my second bike was a ZX6 G1, my mate was a big fireblade fan and his jaw dropped when he realised my 600 could keep up with his old Blade. Obviously being fairly new to bikes i,ve never experienced these classics. I,m wondering if you guy,s that had these bikes would still enjoy them now, or would a modern 10R put them in the archive? :dontknow:

the 10R is another league, my love of some of the old stuff come's with age I guess and now at a dizzy 42 I do recall my body shaking when I saw the 350LC. I did buy an 'Elsie' about 10 years ago and it was nothing like I had recalled but it's all about just having one really and it's certainly not at all about having a bike that 'performs'.

I love the 10 because it's..............well.....................err......................ahem.....................a 10R and looks good and goes well too even with me mandhandling it like an irratic monkey on speed  :tongue3:

I'd love an original Elsie again but are they really worth the money, I guess not really, maybe an other off raoder again 'cos that's just brilliant fun  :hello2:
