hi all from amsterdam
« on: June 10, 2008, 08:50:50 PM »

am a 30yo scot (if u hadnt got that from my name) living in amsterdam riding a 05 10r, i have had too many bikes to mention but in the 10r class i have had a 98r1, 02r1, 03gsxr1000. the 02 r1 was a huge dissappointment and the gixxer despite bein fast felt a bit tame where as the 98 r1 and 05 10r are real animals, and wanderfull for stoppies.

My bike is pretty standard other than ohlins steering damper, mushrooms and a pc3

I have done around 250 - 300 laps of the nurburgring and a few at zandvoort

I know it well enough to know i dont really know it :) and that if you drive like a muppet you will die.  First went there with a brand spanking new 98r1 (after run in of course) when i was 20 and didnt respect it and had a few close calls since then i have wisened up a little and will generally do a lap in about 8 mins (or 11 mins with my wife on the back) but am too scared(or i prefer the term sensible)  to try any faster than that incase i screw up or a bus gets in the way and i write off my baby or myself.

Hi and   WELCOME

Are you going to Assen for the MotoGP.

Me and 7 mates are heading over there on the 25th and might stop off in Amsterdam on the way back to The Hook on Sunday 29th

Hi Truescot,   :occasion14:  What's Zandvoort like?  its one of those historic tracks people tend to forget now as it has taken a back seat in the international racing world.

WElcome to here btw :hello2:
