Well, I've been busy doing loads of small, but important jobs on the RGV, like draining and replenishing the two stroke oil, replacing fixings with A4 grade stainless ones, cleaning the shock and links, re-fitting rear light and indicators, stripping and cleaning calipers, replacing fork oil and seals etc., plus a load more cleaning of hard to reach bits that you'd never get to with silly things like wheels, bodywork and suspension in the way !
Have also been busy polishing a few bits, such as the footrest mounts, kick plates, rear brake lever, front fork lowers and top yoke. Takes a while and a good amount of work, but they've come up pretty well. Started with 600 grade wet and dry, followed by 800, 1200 and 1500 grades, then solvol autosol.
Pic below shows one footrest mount before polishing (on the left, before you make any sarcastic comments) and one after. Hard work, but a lot cheaper than paying for it !
Forks now back on !!!! Could be a rolling chassis again in a few days !!!
