Where do most people get their stainless steel bolts from? I'm looking to replace most bolts on the bike and to use someone like Pro-bolt will cost an absolute fortune!

Anyone found anywhere cheaper or is it just a case of getting a list of all bolts required & hitting eBay?

Is there any particular grade I should look for??? I've found a large pack of assorted on eBay of 304 grade stainless but not sure whether they would be OK?

I am heavy handed I even strip them 

is there any where I can get titanium bolts .... I know you can get screen ones ... I want fairing ones... I am not to bothered about engine casings

No pros all helps. I know Pro bolt do titanium fairing bolts:

Told you they were expensive!!! Thing is....my brother can get a few ti bolts from work but I need to get exact sizes and he can't get that many!!!! Hmmmm, which ones to get

Don't bother Glenn. The main reason for Ti stuff i weight saving

You have to use anti-seie compound as the threads can gall. A pain in the arse really.

totaly with you on that its like the old ally and steel ? they just don't mix ? its a mare to remove when htey've been mated together for a long time?

Correct - it's not just Ti that corrodes,it's ANY differing metals in contact with each other (or have an electrical contact).

It's how primary batteries work - two differing metals (in an electolyte) pass electrons from one to the other creating an electrical charge - this is actually one metal corroding more quickly than another.

Barriers such as copperslip are designed to stop this interaction

Geek. Although useful to know. You don't happen to know about differing types of stainless steel, and which would be suitable to replace engine casing bolts with, do you? I've been looking at some 304 & A4 grades, any good???

As to Stainless grades & properties etc.  see their FAQ & 'product & tech info' pages, they're really informative & you don't need a science degree to understand it !
