I need a set of new leathers...
« on: May 13, 2008, 06:04:33 PM »

I have ruined two sets of leathers in as many months....dont think I am going to buy any nice ones just yet...will stick with the cheapy stuff until I have banished the low side gremlins I am having... think I might go to Georges again and buy a cheapo set from there...

how about a glue stick and some glitter for the bike  [rofl] then you'll have loads of bling or if you want I can get you some mirrors from our mirrorballs at work and you could cover the bike in tiny mirror tiles.....loads of bling then.  [rofl]

I have had three sets of leathers...all have been Frank Thomas....the first set were 800 quid...slide them down the road at 40mph little if any damage....my green kawasaki ones titanium Ft but one piece have been down the road twice but are not really that bad, both offs were less than 50mph...a bit of work here and there and they will be okay...the other titanium set came off on paddock on full tilt...likely I was around 90-110 mph...I did 7 somersaults after sliding the bend to the gravel...stitching on the shoulder tore up but that was it...got up walked away from all the events with minimal damage...gloves held up too...sidi boots left me unconcerned about my ankles...

So I think I am going to go to Stallion and get two sets repaired and buy a third and fourth set for road only and keep the repaired sets for track.....the one on ebay is too big...
