Thats exactly how it will be in the press up here, they hate us bikers at the best of times and as you saw the headline you presume its a normal biker not some chavs on a nicked bike

Its difficult to express how to feel about this.  Lets put it another way, if it had been a car, would everyone belonging to the car driving community be tarred as bloody hooligans who should be banned? no. of course not.  Would it be put down to thuggish joy riding criminals who deserve everything coming to them but lets all drive our cars anyway? yes it would.  I try hard to fathom the inadequacy of the general non bike riding public to understand that we feel pretty peed off when something like this happens too and that we would like the perpetrators to be caught and exposed not as bike enthusiasts but as twats that stole a vehicle (and it could well have been a car, next time it may be) and  I feel deep sympathy for those innocent ppl involved but feel deep resentment at the thought of being lumped in with the morons that did it just because I ride a bike.   Sorry to blather on but does this make sense to any one out there?

I don't think so, when a young driver of a chavved up corsa mows people down its exactly the same. Same with stolen cars, the headline usually reads car driver runs/mows down padestrians....  If this kid had done the same with a car, im sure the title would be very similiar.

We are in the minority, but yet have such high statistics, partly due to the lemmings that jump on motorcylces and its just coming into that season time again....
