Hi dude,
this guy sounds like he is a real dinosaur, well out of touch. The ultimate responsibility should lie with your employer to provide you with a full induction, contract and terms of employment, and as the guys have mentioned, he should also be paying NI contributions for you or declaring how much he is paying out in casual labour to the IR, not to mention being adequately insured.  Get yourself some good advice from the CAB or an employment lawer, give him a letter and he will go away.
If he doesn't then call the Z- team, Badass zx10rmark will sort it, quote.............................................................................

just looked at the letter he sent me, its the wrong way round it reads as im making the claim and he is the defendant.
