 The irony is, I'm not bothered about the twats coming back for more, I'm shitting it in case the door knocks and the feds are there. Fair play though mate, for havin the balls to stand up and give the knob a smack... I know it sounds coy, but sometimes just standing up to them will make em back down and certainly standing your ground.  I'm not saying it will always work though

The problem is today, the local policing is crap.  I'm not the biggest fan of the rozzers at the best of times but do think they're torn between a rock and a hard place.  If they increase street patrols, to try and stop anti-social behaviour then it leaves less coppers for real offenders.  And if they do nothing, its gets worse.  However, as we all know, there are simply not enough coppers to do any good even when they try. Towns and cities are massive and full of estates that are very insular and trouble happens in the middle of em. By the time the cops get there, its all finished and they scarper up some rat run alleyway.

So, it does boil down to a combination of rough justice and do nothing!  We want to protect our kin and castle but don't want the trouble to come back on us. Which often it can.  Whether its in the form of a bigger gang or even the parents of the little cocks.

I used to live on an Army base and that was great....any trouble with youths and it would be dealt with by one of the many squaddies trying to get there kiddies to sleep in marriage quarters!  I remember chasing some lads over the fences of my house with my staffy.  Was like the grand national!  However, number 23's fence was far to well constructed and nearly did me serious injury

I have to admit, I do keep a sword under my bed.  Force of habit!  And i would be prepared to use it if someone broke in! I'll draw them through I tell you!
