Dropped the bike this morning in the work car park on a twig @ 2 mph.

Snapped the mirror, smashed a hole in the tail unit, scratched my tinted visor and have some marks on the helmet................


Complained to the Estates Manager and he said it's not his fault and that all staff park at their own risk.....................

Going to check my contract later, but I suspect that it implies that leaving your car in the car park is at your own risk......

Parking bays in work are at an angle, so as I'm turning into a bay, the front rolled over this twig which then decided to loose it's bark = front end slipped out from underneath the bike.   :-(

I put a new mirror on (courtesy of R1Ninja) and have a replacement tail unit with a lot less damage than mine in the garage (has been there since before the new year) so I suppose I'll have to get it on the bike tonight.

Just wandering if I can take the left mirror out of it's mountings and place it in the damaged right hand side one.  Got a funny feeling it won't work cos I think it's angled, but we'll see.

I nearly did the same on a bunch of leaves right in front of my son and his new girlfriend...luckily i managed to safe it by standing up...but know how you feel....

Well got the tail unit swapped over for the less damaged one I had knocking around in the garage.

I'm seriously toying with the idea of getting a little compressor and spraying the panels myself............worst case scenario I have to spray them with undercoat for a pro to do them.

Sorry to hear that majic  :cry:

At least your on way to getting it sorted now though dude. If i were you i'd certainly give the spray job a go for the undercoat but would leave the finish to the pro's for sure.  :icon_thumright:
