hiya dude, yeah stayed lovely and dry dude and oh my word what a day, full of surprises and all things good

managed to go off road riding twice, both time's not knowing how the hell i managed to keep the old girl upright.
the grass was slippyer than a slippy thing on a slippy day

first session 3rd lap, wets overheated on a no dry track and a front slide and the first lefthander had me upright and grass tracking, made it back on track with the nod of the marshall, also saw him laughing at me! cock  [rofl], came back in, put the racetec's in and went out again, the bike felt horrid. think it was a mixture of cold tyres and my arse hanging out of my leathers still

anyways the inters was full of twats and wankers, crashing left right and centre and after the off i felt a little out of my depth, quick word with mark (owner of no limits)(top bloke) and was back down in a very small group in novice's, missed a session to sort the bike, make sure it was all ok, get the warmers on and get some heat into the tyres.

2nd session 1st in novice and my mind settled to dialing myself back in and went great, knee down properly for the first time and came back in with a smile on my face again

the day carried on the same from there, but with me gradually building and building my speed and an abundence of knee down action on all but 2 (the corkscrew) of the 9 corners of the track, the track is so so grippy that it seemed so rude that no i've finally figured out how to put my knee on the tarmac that i dont do it as much as poss

the final well my final session me and bloomers went out with me infront for him to watch and advise a bit, he stayed behind for 5-6 laps and came past me out of church bend along the back right hander

now usually once past me i can never stay with him and he pulls off into the distance leaving me to feel not so good, but after a lot of confidence building during the day i thought fook it im going to try and stick with him

and oh how i suprised myself, i remember after 2-3 laps he looked over his shoulder to see where i was and i could see from his body reaction he was suprised to see me trying to tag his tail section in a game of what looked like tick  [rofl]

and then it happened, i managed to out brake him leading into the corkscrew and thought WOW i've got past him for the first time, and away we went over the start finish,  through the first left hander, around the banking, around church bend and flat out heading upto the left hand tight hairpin of rocket corner and i total missed my braking point and ended up grass tracking again, again not knowing how the fuck i managed to stay upright i waited at peel corner to watch bloomers go by shaking his head at me  [rofl]

back into the pits and check the tyres for mud etc, all ok and thought there is no way i can finish now with this mistake hanging over me, mark made sure i was ok and ushered me out on track again, 2 laps later and tyres warm again i was back on it, all be it more aware of the braking points but going enough to get my knee down through church bend, fast right hander. session ended and i came back into the paddock, i parked right behind the van and with the 2 warnings (let offs) decided no it is time to finish for the day

well again, another great day was had, plenty of piss taking from bloomers for my grass tracking and my knee sliders scratched to fuck

what a track  :icon_thumleft:

Nice one mate - glad you're enjoying that track  :icon_thumright: can't wait to get on it this time home too  :-P so you went grass tracking up at the top of the hill at the end of the back straight then???? and where else??

Inters seems to be full of dickheads of late. I noticed that in the three times I've been to Oulton this year  [wall]
