to slick or not to slick that is the question
« on: April 05, 2008, 12:14:23 AM »

shall I stay with the superbike slick they seem 30 quid or so cheaper than diable super corsa's

only thing is do they last as long.... I am getting 4 trackdays from racetecs I got 3 days from the slicks but it depends on what track I would be at ..... I think you would be lucky to get 2 days out of them at snetterton but I reckon I could easily get 4 silverstones out of them  B-)

i dont think slicks are the way to go! at say even a good club racer i cant see they would gain anything over supercorsa pro`s .
back to the silverstone thing, i was on supercorsa pros and no tyre warmers, there safe as houses.
to use slicks your suspension has to be set up right, and you need to be 100% on it.

Dazman .... if you mean super corsa pros.... then No

if you mean Diablo Super corse then not

if you Mean the Corsa III's then yes they are pretty good  :icon_thumleft:

Liam  ... I aint trying to gain anything , I am trying to save my wallet .... I am just sick of using scrubs and not knowing where they have come from... so while I have a bit of cash I want to take advantage and buy some tyres

I doubt you'll go significantly faster on slicks but they may save you a few bob .. worthless afterwards whereas you maybe able to ebay the Supercorsa's for  a few bob ?

IMO - stick with the supercorsa's

Diablo slicks and diablo supercorsa are the same rubber and construction, its just on has tread cut on them.  Slicks should last longer than there treaded brother (ie supercorsa - diablo slick & racetec - metzler slick)

Find someone who races regular and get scrubs off them, so you know what they have done.
