Well all i can say is that all the issues last year with the "contaminated fuel" was from supermarket forecourts. I always use shell unleaded in the car and v power in the bike. Shell is generally cheaper than even the supermarkets around here tho.

I only use BP ultimate or Shell V power in the bike.....

I rotate my car 1 ultimate/V power to 2 standard fuel (only used shell or bp unless caught out)

Done a bit of work at Dalmeny Tank Farm, near Edinburgh, different types of fuels are piped in here for distribution. What a bloke there told us was the fuel that goes into the respective tankers, i.e. Shell, BP, Tesco , for delivery is the same stuff. The company then takes it away and adds it's own little magic formulas, detergents and stuff.

So the supermarkets put less in and is close to the basic fuel after refining.
The big boys put all their secret stuff in  making it cost more.
So he was saying that the fuel is really all the same with different additives. There may be something in it  
Have to admit though Shell is the best deal about here and I stick to that. The diesel from Morrisons makes our car smoke like a lum.

  my father in-law works for shell, the difference is the supermarkets dont put additives in where as shell,bp etc do.

lets face it the supermarkets are generally around 4/5p cheaper which i know adds up in the end, but is it worth the risk?

cheapest available for me. Sticker on the tank says use 92 ron

 A rron, Not round here ! supermarkets are the same as Shell !!!..... robbin' gits..... people just fill up coz its handy, well
