Ok guys,

I'm looking to ship a can from the states, but I'm not sure how much I'm going to be stung for in any import duties etc.

I realise that I'll have to pay VAT on in when it arrives but are there any other costs.

Does anyone have a website that will list charges etc.

Whoever handles the importing of the item - Post Office or DHL etc. pay the tax &  won't release the item until you've paid them.

UPS will therefore be the importers & consequently responsible for paying any tax & import duties, so it'll be in their interest to get it back from you first before handing it over !

Mind you as helmets aren't subject to VAT, it could well be that there'll be nothing to pay on it any way.

 ive been looking into this and u shouldnt have to pay tax's on a helmet as its classed as safety equipment

you pay your postage...price of can then ups wack 17.5% on top which you pay on delivery...job done..
