Hi chum, welcome to the site, new here myself. I have just recently bought a ZX10r after several years on a 7R and the difference in power is astonishing. I have only done a couple of track days on the 7R but am relishing the chance to get the 10 on track. The biggest difference apart from the power when riding on the road was how light the bike was and the quicker steering. One thing is for sure though is that you won't be able to pick your line and give it a fistfull like you could with the 7R, that I worked out for myself very quickly and I'm still running it in
These bikes demand a lot of respect but I think it is worth the extra effort and input needed from the rider. I'm loving every mile on the 10r and if I can learn to transfer the confidence I had on the 7 to the 10, track days will be unforgettable.
I say go for it, in green of course, and you will soon forget your ageing, heavy, overgeared, underpowered, asthmatic, carb- icing, exhaust dissolving, crap rear shocked, shitty front calipered, great handling, gorgeous cult Kawasaki.
