here`s a teaster for you......................................my ten has six gears..............................it will do over a ton in first gear so how come the top speed is`nt 500 mph..................... ...im mean how come it needs five more gears just to give me an extra 80 mph................

have you not noticed that second gear is really short compared to first .... I don't get much over 120 in it ... 3rd it lovely though

that is exactly what i think...........second is short, but on the short twistes third is just top dolla she just pulls like a nutter on fire.........................

as a rough rule taking into acount wind resitance and form drag, speed in our atmosphere follows the square rule...ie it takes four times the power to double the speed.  SO if it takes roughly 50bhp to do 100mph then it takes roughly 200bhp to do 200mph and 800 bhp to do 400mph...and so on and so forth....its not an exact rule as other factors play a part and its more exponential than that at the extremes, ie the rate of drag increases faster and faster until it is theoretically infinite and no matter how much power you apply you cannot go any faster....but it works as a rough guide....WELL YOU DID ASK

some thing call wind resistance !!!  Go drive on the moon you shouldn't  have a problem there you may havr to change your gear ratio thou

ok Bob me ole mucker, how come one beer does nothing, 6 beers make me pissed but 10 makes me sick rather than more drunk   

with your 10 you obviously aren't trying hard enough , get out on it and report back the maximum speed in each gear , surely thay easily manage 500 mph
