Here you go chaps - have a read. It's a very worthwhile mod. As regards the dogbones - you need to fit a spacer above the shock to retain the correct ride height but it's then very good. I made up a proper spacer for it - pm me if you want the drawing to make it / get it made. But yeah - read the following....

Hang on - here's what I drew up and made out of some hard nylon on the mill at work....

You may ask why not just use a shim / washer? Because, as I found out, the shock can then turn which is not good. This holds it in place - have a look at the top shock mounting and you'll see what I mean.

basic terms  it keeps rear spring more liniar , standard set up for road /pillion is a compromise ,

when rear spring compreses it keeps spring rate liniar over whole lenth  not compress get hard  and boing  kick you off the high side !!
