how long do your fingers need to be - Alpinestars

well,

it's like this, got myself a nice set of Alpinestar gp tech gloves from fleabay a few months back in size XL.

The gloves feel really nice and I like them but the fingers are made for ET I'm sure  :dontknow:

Has anyone esle had a similar problem ?

I'm tempted to get rid and go for size L to see if they fit better, I can live with the long fingers just about but we'll see  :tongue3:

Go to a shop to try a few pairs on, then go hunt them down on ebay  :icon_thumright:

GP Techs stretch and mould to the shape of your hands so if they feel really comfortable when you get them, they are going to get a bit baggy after a while. I bought mine in a L and the fingers are the right length but the gloves felt really tight and restrictive to start with.

I took to driving my van with them on to stretch and soften them up and now they feel really comfortable.  Got a few strange looks at the traffic lights though.

sorry prilla I dis agree there a little bit..

the kevla in the glove and the amount of stitch is very restrictive , I have a medium as I had the same problem has Andy finger were way to long..

I though I could stretch them... I dunked them in water god knows how many times and also wore then around alot .... they started to fit..... but I realise why they started to fit...... the weather started to get cold.... cause as soon as I went to cartagena they were to tight again  :dontknow:

Andy I would say put up with it mate Gopher did the same thing... the protection is the best on the market in my eyes and they look the bollox too  :icon_thumleft:

I've got two pairs, the black ones I've had for over a year and now fit........well they fit like a glove. The other pair are red and white, hardly worn them at all and they still feel nasty and restrictive. Both are L. We were actually at Cartagena just before you this year and they certainly fitted there.

BTW had Mr Healy readjusted his FE sign opposite the pits by the time you got there? If you don't know what I'm on about then he was obviously quick enough.  :shock:

We dont have that problem in my part of East Anglia as we all have long webbed fingers, webbed feet and very few branches to our family trees!

Andy I have GP pro's and they are without doubt the best gloves Ive ever worn, I have a new set of GP Techs but although good don't feel as good as the Pro's.
They were spot on from day 1. Maybe try treating them with leather oil and then just wear them around the house for a bit or even as has been sugested drive in them.
