im also on a diet/exercise plan. i do wieghts at home in the loft, nothing too hardcore.
i also box aswell. so my routine is 4 sessions a week on the weights and 4 sesions a week
boxing. i do either 40 mins weights and 30mins boxing or just a weights session and a boxing
session the next day.
with regards to nutrition: breky is a bannana and a protien shake.
lunch is turkey or chicken sandwich.
tea/dinner is chicken salad/ pasta & mince/ steak etc.
after training in the eve a protien shake.
i also take a multivitamin tab lunch time.
i also take a proien liquid mix at 10am (its about 2 spoons of liquid aminos mixed with 250mls
of water. it tastes shyt but i have an apple straight after.
please bare in mind that you can only digest a max of 35 g of protien in any one sitting. the excess is simply passed out the other end and wasted.
last summer i was 13 stone 8. 5ft 7 inches tall so a bit porky. i now come in at 12 st 5. ive put half an inch on my arms by doing this and loosing fat. one of the best things ive done which seems to have made a diff is this;
immediately afte training have a dink made with 250mls of water and isotonic powder.
i use 'iso enrgy' by body fortress (holland and barret helth shops) this gives you a suger
rush which dramaticaly increases insulin levels. this hormorne insulin then activley pumps
carbs and protien into your muscles at a time whenthey are depleted from exercise.
insuline is in relity a 'free' anobolic hormone.
so 10mins after you have taken the isotonic drink have your protien shake. as its liquid it is
easily absorbed by the body, then the protien is pummped into your tired muscles.
its worked for me, its also know as carb loading. your body looks fuller and ive managed to loose weight and gain muscle. eg dropped my body fat levels. if you are more intrested in gaining weight as you say mate dont do any cv work. you need to rest aswell as train but i guess you know that. overtraining is a killer so if you do too much it can actualy cause you to loose size. vairy your routine every 2mths to keep your body guessing. im sure you know this
