china is rebuilding, russia too to some extent...there are not so many jobs in spain or portugal due to the down turn in mortgages but you could easily go work abroad...key issues..

1.  you need to be away for at least 12 months to qualify for tax relief...check the rules with someone who knows its very complex.
2.  Make sure you have a return ticket...open return...do not lose it...you can run out of cash abroad very very quickly...
3.  Always get paid cash, weekly best, unless it is a very big firm...remove your labour immediately if your not paid.
4.  Be careful of local unions who might come sniffing around and can cause trouble in some countries.
5.  Best to take on defined short term contracts..
6.  look at another industry..

Just a few of my suggestions...

Mrwhippy - I've just been doing an old house up looking sparks, plasters n plumbers...... the stuff I prefer not fuk around wi'. ( unfortunately am in NW )

Maybe we should set up Post for  "This Is Me"... " I Do ? " and I'm " in " ..... bit of a brotherhood of the Odd-Jobbers, wi' 10's  and keep a look-out for " Wanted " plasters sparks etc  :dontknow:

I'm a big believer in supporting  the One Man Band  :headbang:

( funnily enough I've just come back from spain, and ya right ( somebody ? ) ... the markets not what it was, but we looked around  a few housing developments, and there is a few houses selling, especially new stuff, but there were a a lot Polaks n other wierd talkin fukka's  surrounded by strange looking beer can !  :dontknow:

Good Luck to them that need it ! coz this country now looks after everyone except its Indidginous Race ... ( oh yes please ... chiken tikka comin up.. sir ! )
