gonna try and eradicate a bad habit this summer. Everytime i roll to a stop e.g traffic lights i prefer left leg on terra firma. lights change, switch to right leg down, engage gear with left, (but that aint the end of it) before pulling away i then switch balance again so i set off with left leg down, crazy innit !! maybe i used to ride an old Triumph in previous life! anyone got any petty annoyances with their riding?

oo yes the LEARNER FOOT SHUFFLE.......... ..............allways gets me that they still teacher that old one but im not he to says its wrong or right .......................o no...im just laughfing at them still doing it............

Great bloke !!!            And i learnt that its very important to use you rear brake at slow speed  cos i dropped the first Ninja i had

cant remember whilst learning , too long ago  but an insructor would teach you not to put right leg down? So in their eyes what i do is right then?

my bad habit is turning the damned throttle too hard and being a silly old man too often

why do you put your feet down anyway 

just don't ride near any traffic lights or crossings and avoid roundabouts unless not busy and only for knee down

Ha ha....I do this...

This is actually known as the "Hendon Shuffle"....as they actually teach this to the police riders at the Police Riding School at Hendon.  Its actually all about covering the back brake whilst at a stop.  i.e Right leg down, engage Neutral gear. Left Leg down, and right covering the back brake.

So, nothing wrong with it mate!  Do whatever is comfortable.  And as long as you don't fall off, who cares!
