07zx10r Suspension set up for fat boys

can you help  me ?   I recently bought a 07 zx10 and find the suspension settings a bit soft for fast road riding as iam 17 stone i know it would bebetter if i lost weight but that aint so easy .  I only passed my test in july its a beast of a bike especially for my second one

mr K seems to have given me 50hp to much!!! but i think i can manage. O K maybe with a bit  more practice !!

Hi mate I think you are going to struggle to get the suspension to work really well..... I would suggest if you can afford it changing the spring rating to something stiffer.

though my advice for sure would be to go to an expert..... my guy at www.mhracing.com only charges 40 quid money well spent for sure....

depending on where you are in the country but there are a few other guys like 100% suspension and Maxtons who are also good in the trade....

... it all depends on what lengths you want to go to really ....  :dontknow:

40 quid setup or 400 quid fork revalve kit and 400 to 500 quid for after market shock off ebay (700/800 new)

My option would be to get the setup and see how you go  :icon_thumleft:

Kev yes mate set up hard for someone that weighs 13/14 stone.... not 17 stone plus Kit  ;-)

probably a bit far from my suspension guy unless you don't mind travelling a bit .... he is worth it.... PDQ's near Maidenhead aint to far from you....  :icon_thumleft:

i'm about the same weight as you.had the same trouble as you.

i went to mhracing and he set it up.its a lot better,but you really need to change the springs

to sort it properly.

where can i go in the midlands to get the suspension setup  to my bulky
weight.

Maxtons is the best for you spenny .... will still be a bit of a trek but worth it  :icon_thumright:

hang on wait til the 25th and 100% suspension does oulton mate they are good too  :icon_thumleft:
