As long is its a quality brand then why not, hard to be Chavtastic on a Ferrari. Its not about the look its all about releasing the sound but on the other hand you don't want it too loud. Can you get a switchable sports exhaust for the Ferrari like you can for Porsches? My friend has one on his GT2 and it seems pretty trick.

My Boxster S is far too quiet at low revs on the stock exhaust it only really sings when you wind it up. I've been thinking about changing my exhaust but worry about the warranty and the genuine Porsche sports exhaust is very expensive. I think im going to stay stock on this car and do something on the C2 im hoping to get next year.

Putting a loud exhaust on a 1.2 Slammed Corsa is Chavtastic..............never on a Ferrari.......

Funnily enough i'm not even picking up my Porsche 996 until next week-end but I have already found myself browsing websites to find out how much a sports exhaust costs......it definitely needs more sound

Does anyone know about these on 911s......is it a case of just bolting on or do you have to change engine management too??  Also which makes are any good and which are cheap shit?

Cheers

Jim, PSE only will retain the warranty (OPC) - if you dont have an OPC warranty dont worry - use anyones ;-)  The PSE has a cockpit switch for adjusting its length (bypass valve) and some non-PSE exhausts are renowned for being very boomy in the cabin so pays your money and makes your choice.

For me, 996 OPC warranty is a must especially with a 4-5% intermediate shaft failure rate, which fixes you to a PSE.  Buy one from your OPC and get a good indie like Autostrasse to install.
