Hi - im new to the forum and just wanted to say hello. Looks like a cool forum and i hope it proves a wealth of useful info to me! Ive just ordered the new 2008 ZX10R in Black. I could have picked her up on sat for new reg release but because the weather is still a bit crap ive decided to wait a little longer - although im desperate to get on her!!! I think i may take delivery beginning of next month. Besides this gives me time to get the "bits" that i want to put on her. Im definitely going to change the can - looks bloody awful - and i know what i want to put on her but its not available yet - anyone know what aftermarket cans ARE available now??? Im also going to put full R&G protection on and without doubt tail tidy and smaller rear indicators and obviously do whatever i can/is available to sort out the front indicators. But thats about it i think initially - love the fact that nearly everything is anodised black - why has it taken a manufacturer SO long to work this one out??? The one thing (apart from HUGE number plates and holders) that ive always hated on my new bikes is all the silver bits ie levers, rear sets etc etc. Its so refreshing that Kawasaki have (presumably) listened to the punters and anodised and blended in all the bits that are normally silver, look cheap and stand out like sore thumbs!! Its going to save me a few pennies in the short term thats for sure. I only ever used to put aftermarket rear sets on in order to colour code/blend them into my bike and not because i wanted more comfort or more performance etc. Anyway, im rambling on here - so i will sign off. welcome to the forum buddy , I am the same I only changed my rearsets cause I wanted black too 

I really liked the feel of the standard pegs and they are much stronger that gilles 

so looks like your the first one on here to get the black 08  I really want to get one too 

where you from and where did you buy yours (how much if you don't mind me asking?)

Steve I found the suspension fine on the 08 bike , didn't think it was hard at all... I felt the bike was really easy to ride

sounds like you have some required mods already planned and yes completely agree in the no more grey footpegs etc, again like Glenn I only bought my rearsets because of the colour prmarily
