fair play getting such an early demo of the new 10..

must admit when you advised reading the new TWO i thought it was gonna contain a litre bike comparo, not what was in it...

 

so - did you get to stretch the new bikes legs? whats the suspension like stock (my '04 is a tad,,,,harsh)
overall impressions? personally itd take a HELL of a bike to beat what i already have...

well I weigh close to 16 stone with full kit and hammy probably around 12/13 ish and neither of us found the suspension hard.... it was easily to flick and very easy to ride... it has lost some of its animal grunt but it has been replaced with  crazy rush off power once its in the rev range....(a little bit like and on off switch though might be a bit snatchy so could be improved)

there is nothing on the bike that I don't think is not a step up... the brake were amazing even compared to my brembo M/S on my 04 ten... the position isn't long but crusing through towns at 30/40's did play a little on my back.... but it was easy to get in position once giving it the berries.... and it had loadsa room on the seat whenever on the 04 I really have to push my arse back to get under the screen and really feels like I am sticking my arse in the air... with the new one just feel more roomy but the bars aint a stretch ... only gripe is the clocks seem to be aimed for someone slightly short than 6ft1 as they seem angled down a bit... but they are still 100 time better than the old ones 

if you want me to compare any other part I will tell you but I could be here for ages thinking of comparos

I got hold of a copy today too, good read  cant wait until tomorrow to get my mitts on my new bike now

12/13ish? Fuck I wish!
It spins up faster than both the older models. Little snatchy on/off throttle. Riding position is really nice. Centre of gravity is a LOT higher than the 06, and higher than the 04 hence the top heavy feeling and the ride height stretches the inside leg a tad.
You could easily stand it on its nose at a ton if you weren't carefull!
Although Nial McKenzie did state that he preferred mine on the road, the 08 is fuckin quick. The egine goes from 1k to 10k in an instant and certainly feels faster although the grunt is a fair bit higher up the revs.



And I haven't bought one copy of the mag - mine hasn't shown up in the post yet! Cheeky feckers
