don't buy a french car unless you have money to burn  :dontknow: everything cost more and you have to do things more often

buy a car that has cheap parts like ford or vauxhall

or buy a car than hardly goes wrong VW > or other type german car ,skoda etc  :dontknow:

Funny in'it ?  . . . . . know one like s the French, me neither really that much BUT we've had a   Renault 5 ( ... remember em... the one wi' bolt-action rifle gear lever coming out the dash ) a 1.8 Fuego ... poor mans Porsche look-a-like, and I had  Renault 25 ..... spent virtually now't any of em, except tyres and exhausts plugs n oil changes.

I had the  25   for FOURTEEN years !!!  . . . . and had to sell it because it wo' D reg, and the wife said it wo' lowering to tone of the neighbourhood having car that old !  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]

But I agree the later ones have that many sensors n bullshit   [naughty] they're designed to take money off Ya !!!  :pottytrain2: :pottytrain2: :pottytrain2:

The older Laguna's don't have a great rep for reliability hence Renaults drive to get people into the new one which is very good. If you want an estate of that sort of age then the Vectra or Mondeo tend to stand out as strong candidates although I'm not keen on the Ford diesel.
