anyone think they're any good on a mountain bike?

 Basically a race across the Alaskan frozen wilderness for a distance of 350 or 1100 miles.
 The wifes brother (Carl Hutchings) is taking part again, he did win the 1100 mile race and broke the course record not so long ago.

Yep.....completely nutts!  Whatever floats ya boat!  Saying that though...I've always wanted to climb K2 or trek to the North Pole....
