I'm in the same boat, insurance companies stipulate I have to have an alarm too; I'm down the road from Andy in CH7

No alarm on my bike either and I'm even close to Liverpool. Prices were way too high back in the 90s, which was why there was a load of firms doing imports. This is what make the offical imports alter their prices. I remember back in 1995 paying 6550 for a ZX6.

In automotive  Mass = Cost ( or profit ! ) thats why the price hasn't " gone up "  ... they're now half the weight !  or twice the price....

Oh.... and they're ten times better these days    . . . . Sssshhhhh
