support in the area
« on: February 06, 2008, 06:57:27 AM »

Hey guys,

One of the things that went on in another forum i am a member of (old bikes) is that people offered their services to people in the area who may be in trouble or are in need of a stop or something.  Its just a database on the forum for people to say hey I am here if your nearby and in need of a stop or a cup of tea or a spanner or two then anyone welcome or in my case anyone want their bird seeing to whilst you take a rest then please pop in....

just a thought its a great idea if your on a long haul ride out new area and passing a fellow rider, its  worth knowing just in case...I know we have a map but it doesnt say if the people are ammenable to being contacted etc etc...you can of course just PM people I guess just wondered what people thought...this forum is spread all over the country and I go all over the place would be good to meet a few of you when I am about anyway...especially if me back wheel is about to collapse and I need a spanner or two...even though I am in the AA...

I bought it up last year. It seems most people know where people ar eor if  you're going long haul ask on here if there is anybody inthat area.

I'm near Wellingborough/kettering/bedford area. I have almost every tool needed and I will be getting a van shortly.
