Insurance Companies
« on: January 31, 2008, 06:52:17 PM »

Right boys.... need an car insurance company who aren't a bunch of nazi bastards!

Had a massive row with Admiral today and so have cancelled my policy.  :boxing:

Obviously I ain't got a perfect licence, so it need to be someone who specialises in convicted drivers and/or performance cars?  Have any of you used a company who you would recommend?  :emb:

This is quite urgent as I need to get it sorted by tomorrow.

this is going to sound really funny.....

I am with Bell.co.uk (admiral group but not admiral) and I had a DR10 on my licence for my beemer they were fleecing me for an astonishing amount of money.

Well renewal this year and I no longer have the DR10 and they wanted to charge me 1200 quid with 4 years no claims bonus..... I thought fook this I am almost 30  [wall]

So I went on Elephant.co.uk (also Admiral group) and I put my details in and they quoted me 700 quid.... so I will be taken my insurance with them in a couple of days...

Bearing in mind my car insurance Group is 20D I think this is quite reasonable  :icon_thumleft:

I tried them and they were no where near the price I got with Elephant.. the cheapest they were offering was 1500 notes

Doesn't sound weird to me at all mate. They are robbin' fucking bastids the lot of 'em!  [wall]

I once insured my coop 20vt through Bell and all was good, renewal time came and was pretty crap so out of interest i went on Bell's site and re did my quote as a "NEW" customer - much better. so all was good. Bell then wrote to me saying why i left them. I wrote a response and said, i left you and then returned to you as a "NEW" fucking customer cos you give no reward to loyal customers you robbing bastards! I never got a response.

They have stopped doing this now so you cant rejoin as a new customer and they now have all us mugs over a barrel. The way i get around this now is just alternate between Bell and Elephant each year.

BASTARDS! it's so fucking annoying!!  [wall]  [wall]  [wall]  [wall]

Rant over

Thats true. it is easy, just annoying that they (not just insurance companies) never give existing customers the same deal. I like to think i have the better of them now though.

Ha Mr Insurance, who's had the last laugh now!  [rofl]  [rofl]  [rofl]

I got a letter today from Express saying that they will auto renew me and are sending the premium info shortly, sounds like a piss take to me as they will prob tell me the new premium at the last minute I reckon and have sort of already decided for me that I'm staying with them, bloody usual insurance crap. Time for me to look around ready to waste hours because they are scandalous thieves  [wall]

anyhow, I'll see what rubbish I'm offered automatically maybe it'll be less than last year but I doubt it  :-/
